It all depends of how the new apartment or house looks. Curtains should go nicely with the color scheme of the whole apartment.
Another reason for changing your curtains is if they are really old. This is also a very important reason for changing the curtains in your house. If the curtains are old and look poorly they can ruin the image of the whole house from outside and from inside.

So if you have one of those reasons at your home do not be afraid to change the curtains.
