How to make curtains Thermal Curtains

Thermal Curtains

Thermal curtains are ideally suitable for dual purpose - keeping the heat out during summer and allowing the heat to remain inside during winters. Thermal curtains offer one of the most efficient methods of insulation for windows with which you can reduce your cooling energy bills during summer and heating energy bills in winter seasons. In fact, using thermal curtains is one of the most practical ways of saving energy, as it helps in keeping the temperature constant inside your rooms.

Many thermal curtains also come with a feature of soundproof quality, which can help you take quality sleep after a tiring day at work. Thermal curtains or thermally insulated curtains are not much different from the ordinary curtains. One of the primary differences is the method of lining the inside of curtains with thermally insulated materials, which is not present in the conventional curtains. Out of the two layers of thermal curtains, one layer is made from silk, cotton velvet or any other suitable material and another layer is made from specially insulated materials that act as barrier for heat transfers.
