For many people, it is often a daunting task to decide whether to go for curtains or blinds. Although most of the time curtains and blind essentially serve the same purpose but from the point of utility, functionality, cost, décor and mounting methods, the blinds and curtains are far apart. Blinds are generally more versatile as compared to curtains; however, at the same time, many blinds are expensive than the traditional curtains.



Blinds come in variety of styles, designs and types such as vertical blinds, venetian blinds, roller blinds and so on. When it comes to cleaning, curtains need to be removed and washed in washing machines or dry cleaned. Whereas, blinds can be easily and frequently cleaned using dust removers and damp clothes without any need whatsoever of removing the blinds from windows. Artistic wooden blinds present a great and rich outlook to the entire home. With special purpose blinds, you can use it for temperature control in your rooms. Overall, blinds are more functional than curtains.
